Recap: Red Rock Vacation

Just got back from Red Rocks. Miss the warm sunny weather already. Due to an automobile accident that knocked our hotel's internet connection out, I had to wait until we returned to post this. Here's the skinny:

Sun, Mon & Tue:
Weather was sunny and hot and we climbed. Sunday we sport cragged in the Calico Hills; Monday we did a multi-pitch climb in Pine Creek Canyon; Tuesday Kurt and I sport climbed in The Black Corridor while Rosann took the day off and went for a horse ride.

Wed & Thu:
Weather went south - cold and windy with passing showers. No climbing. :-( Did some sightseeing instead. On Monday we went to Hoover Dam, then rode The Roller Coaster at the New York-New York Casino and walked the Las Vegas Strip.

Thursday morning we initially hiked out to go climbing but it started to hail, so we drove 120 miles north to the ghost town of Rhyolite.

When we got back to Vegas that evening, we strolled Fremont Street.

Fri:
Weather was back to normal. Kurt and I did a long climb in the morning, then Rosann joined us for a few crag climbs in the afternoon.

Full descriptions of our climbs are here and here.
