R.I.P. Suzanne Allen

I lost a compatriot and friend Wednesday evening: fellow guide Suzanne Allen was killed during a fall from Denali Pass, high on the mountain. Suzanne and I both began guiding for Alpine Ascents at the same time, working a lot together in the years since. I considered her not just a colleague but a friend. She was dedicated and passionate about guiding and very outgoing, sharing her love of outdoor adventure with everyone she met. I'll miss her as a rope mate and compadre. Blessings to you on your next grand adventure Suzanne!

I'm truly sorry to hear of your loss. I have been following the Suzanne's adventures through her father and my good friend Tim. I met Suzanne only briefly when we were all employed by the same company some ten years ago. May her adventurous spirit and love of life live on. My thoughts and prayers with you, Suzanne, and all those that are grieving.
